Around the World Blog Hop

This blog post is in English because this is my entry in the Around the World Blog Hop.

I was invited by Tilkunviilaaja  and Saijaelina so it is now my turn to answer these four questions:

1. What am I working on?
2. How does my work differ from others of its genre?
3. Why do I write/create what I do?
4. How does my writing/creating process work?

Here goes…

What am I working on?

I'm very lucky because I do this also professionally, menaning I do quilts for my customers aswell. Now I'm working with self tuned fabrics. My favorite blok is star and so I'm more than thrilled to work with it. The quilt top is ready, tomorrow I will change this old picture.

How does my work differ from others in its genre?

I get easily carried away. I love all kind of fabrics, solids, bolds, batiks, reproduction, 30's. If I should mention one what I don't have in my stash it will be novelty fabrics.. carrots... apples.. I find those very difficult to use.

I believe strongly in colors, it is not a difficult blok, but the colors which makes a beautiful quilt.

I always want to play with colors on a big quilts. I love to repeat repeat repeat and to see if it works and how it will look. If I could choose I would always make king / queen size quilts. The bigger the better.

Why do I write/create what do?

I started quite innocently, to report my doings to my family and keep a diary. It took quite a while to become any  bigger. Now being a professional quilter  love to show the quilts I have quilted to other quilters.

How does my writing/creating process work?

I don’t plan my creations on a paper. I only do the basic calculations on paper.

Thank you for reading this. Sorry, I'm not inviting anybody.

Happy Hopping backwards!

  1. Thank you for writing this blog post! It was nice to read your description of how you work, for example, repeating, repeating.
